I can always count on The Computer Arts magazine to have some great images. This was an ad for a stock photo company. Several pictures are placed strategically together to form a key with a message above that reads “Unlock Your Creativity". I thought this was genius in the way the layout was designed. This caught my eye because of the innovative thinking by whoever designed this. I really enjoy original pieces like this, and try to incorporate that creativeness in my work as well.

Art News is another magazine I wasn't familiar with before coming across it in Parkland's Library. This is the March 2009 edition. after flipping through the pages I saw this image of these pigs. The largest pig is painted with the United states flag, with the other smaller pigs painted with other countries flags. The smaller pigs are feeding off the big pig which in my opinion represents the smaller countries feeding of the US. This really attracted my attention because of the creativeness involved.

In the January/February 2008 edition of Communication Arts, I found this incredible image. When zoomed in it shows one man that creates this massive work of art. The words read "Obsession makes my life worse and my work better". To create something this time consuming, you must be somewhat obsessed with you're craft. This is dedication at its finest, and is one of the most inspirational pieces I've seen. To think that one person created such a huge piece, is just unfathomable in so many ways.

This was the first I.D. magazine that I had ever looked at, and I was very impressed. (I.D. stands for International Design). The I.D. is a magazine that covers the art, culture and business of design. This one is the December 2009 edition. Inside I found many mind blowing designs including this amazing chair. This is probably the coolest chair I have every seen, and would pay a lot of money to own. The design is something I have never seen before, and would have never thought of. Not only is the design outstanding, this chair looks very comfortable. This just inspires me to go out and design!
The Computer Arts magazine always comes out with amazing covers. This particular cover is from the June 2008 edition. The first time I came across this magazine I spent at least 5-10 minutes just exploring this illustration. Even after spending so much time looking at it, I still have no idea what this image is supposed to be, but i think that's why I like it. The colors used here go together so well. In the center reads "Create the Perfect Illustration", and I believe for this magazine they have achieved the perfect illustration. I cant only hope that one day I will create something as creative as this piece.

While scrolling through the magazine 'how' 2008 edition, I came across this advertisement. It's an ad for the Academy of Art University. Right away it caught my eye because of the large scale canvas the student was working on. The text is talking about how important a portfolio is for a artist. "My portfolio is me, everything i am and everything I'm not. Its my weakness and my strengths" For artist, this is very true. An artist's portfolio will make or break their careers. Its what employers and schools will ask to see before they are accepted.

This poster came from the Communication Arts magazine in Parkland's library. This caught my eye right away because you rarely see posters that encourage you NOT to vote. For some reason, i found this pretty humorous because these days it seems like everything is made in China.
